The Department of Education which was established in 2017 started its academic journey with M.Ed. Course. The Department of Education provides opportunities for the capacity building of the prospective teacher educators. The Department of Education is committed to bring out the best potentials of its prospective teacher educators and teachers to develop them as empowered and envisioned leaders of Indian Education. A team of able and sensitive teacher educators constantly strives to promote among the prospective teacher educators and the teachers with a high standard of knowledge, professional skills, knowledge of ICT, cultural understanding, social responsibility and synergistic progress within a truly multicultural educational environment. The Department lays emphasis on the use of ICT, Teacher Education, Educational Administration and Management, Curriculum Development and Inclusive Education.

The Department focuses on problems related to education to find out appropriate solutions. Several departmental research works are conducted under the guidance of faculty members related to educational issues at school level. The Department provides assistance programmes for the preparation of various examinations such as NTA-UGC-NET, CU-CET, CTET, JTET and other important examinations.

The Department of Education is known for its discipline and student-centered learning environment providing excellent central library, psycho-lab and technological facilities, smart board for presentation, free Wi-Fi access, quality knowledge resources such as Inflibnet, ICT Lab, Language Lab, regular seminars, workshops, symposium, community programmes and other co-curricular activities, and rich research experiences.
